How does a car heater radiator work?
The warmth from the engine goes from the radiator to the heater core, which basically acts as a heat exchanger. The heater core is a small radiator that warms the car's cabin using hot coolant from the engine. The cooling system's hoses circulate liquid coolant through the heater core as they do through the engine and large cooling radiator behind the vehicle's grille.
The radiators are designed to heat the air in the truck using convection to transfer heat from the radiators to the surrounding air. They do this by drawing cool air in at the bottom, warming the air as it passes over the radiator fins, and discharging the heated air at the top.
